Windows 7 point to point VPN

Is the built in Windows 7 VPN sophisticated enough to allow me to have 2 Win7 machines connect(one as a VPN server and the other as a client) and have the client tunnel all it's traffic over the host's Internet connection? I've been trying to get this to work and not having any luck. The client connects but isn't given a gateway that would route traffic over the tunnel, so it ends up just losing all connectivity other then to the host machine. It sorta seems like ICS might need to be involved, but if I enable ICS on the host machine on it's network connection, the virtual adapter that accepts inbound VPN connections isn't available as a choice to share the connection with. Is this beyond windows 7's built in VPN capabilities? It's clear to me even what the built in host is(simplified L2TP/IPSEC? PPTP?) Thanks!
